    Unlike traditional design publications, VISUAL goes beyond aesthetics—it examines the process and talent behind great design, giving readers insight into the why and how of exceptional creativity. Subjects span furniture,  art,  advertising,  fashion,  automobiles,  decorative arts,  film,  books,  typography,  music,  architecture,  photography,  apparel,  digital design,  instruments,  food,  gardens,  broadcast design,  and more.


    More than just a magazine, VISUAL serves as a forum for discourse on design and creativity, engaging an audience of architects,  designers,  educators,   and   creative professionals whose work demands critical and creative thinking.


    Founded in 2004 in Toronto,  CanadaVISUAL launched as a premium quarterly, available on newsstands across North America and distributed to architects,  designers,  creative education   institutions,  art organizations,  and   galleries.


    Jairo Arango, a designer by profession, leveraged his background in print and broadcast media to create VISUAL Magazine—a publication that explores the creative process behind great design. He serves as Editor-in-Chief,  Creative Director,  and   Publisher.
